Pitchfork Data Analysis

Over the summer, I worked on a project with the data from the music review website Pitchfork in order to learn the R programming language. The code I used drew in the data, took in input from a user, and found an average artist score of the requested artist. I also began using text mining tools, and was looking to do a sentiment analysis on the text of the reviews in order to predict a review score. I was unable to finish the project, however, due to other obligations and interests over the summer. Learning the new programming language was interesting and I enjoyed the application of logic; however, over the summer programming became a very solitary activity. When working I prefer a social atmosphere, and I lost motivation working on my own. A career with plenty of social interaction such as my current aspiration of becoming a professor would be more stimulating. Other options might include consulting or advising, or any collaborative work environment. Pitchfork Analysis-26o84hi
