This past semester (spring 2019) I decided to take the follow up course to my bacteriophage research project that I began last spring. This semester, I helped to sequence the genomes of various phages that had been isolated in the first portion of the two course series. To end the semester I gave a poster presentation on the topic of CRISPR and its relationship to the interaction of phages and host bacteria. This furthered my interest in this type of research and helped me grow as a scientist.
