Varsity Co-Captain Women’s Water Polo Team at Dougherty Valley HS

           Grade 12 / 20 hours per week / 16 weeks per year

              Led and encouraged varsity team of thirteen high school girls in daily practices and league games. Supported team coach with required tasks, organized meetings, and designed bonding activities with my co-captains.

 

Certified Swim Instructor and Lifeguard Level III for the City of San Ramon

Grade 10 – 12 / 20 hours per week / 12 weeks per year

Taught private swim lessons and classes for students of all ages. Effectively planned and organized class time for maximum practice. Communicated with parents about student’s performance. Promoted water safety, supervised aquatic activities during recreational swim and provided emergency care when needed.

President for Science Alliance

Grade 9 – 12 / 2 hours per week / 32 weeks per year

Promoted the pursuit of STEM fields to students through investigative science and inquiry. In charge of over 60 high school mentors working with 5th-grade students to develop a project to compete at the local science fair. Previous positions held: Vice President (Grade 11), Communication Officer (Grade 10), and Mentor (Grade 9).
