Prompt 29 – Map of Hometown
For this sketch, I considered many different artist inspirations but decided to go with Cathy Prendergast, on a larger scale. I decided to create a map of the small town I grew up in instead of where I currently live, as I feel like it shaped me more into who I am today, as well as allowed me to go into more detail considering almost the entire town fit within this sketch!
Sketchbook 2 – Week 2 – January 24
Prompt 28 – Saturday Storyboard
This sketch was inspired by the work of artist Luca Buvoli, as I created a storyboard of my Saturday, and inserted small captions within them to help tell the story. Although I only used one type of pencil, I highlighted things using additional details.
