Global Awareness:
In order to work toward global awareness, I plan on studying abroad. I hope to study abroad in Dresden after the spring semester to work towards a second minor, German. I also plan on continuing to study my foreign language, German.

Original Inquiry:

To work toward the goal of original inquiry, I plan on joining a research lab my second year at Ohio State. Participating in research on campus will enrich my graduate school applications and will most importantly make me more prepared for a future career. I also plan on continuing to intern during the summers after school to work toward the goal of original inquiry.

Academic Enrichment:

I plan on using my Academic Plan to create a program of study that serves my academic and professional interests and needs by continuing to take challenging courses, such as honors courses. These courses will enrich my graduate school applications and help me be more prepared for graduate school. I chose a Biology major and a History minor because I felt that the pre-requisite and required courses for Biology and History most closely aligned with my career and personal interests.

Leadership Development:

In order to be involved outside of the classroom, I plan on possibly having a leadership position in the Pre-Medicine Club, a club I am currently involved with. This will improve my application because it will indicate that I have taken initiative outside the classroom.

Service Engagement:

Participating in community service is very important to me, so I will continue with the service organizations I was already involved with before I came to Ohio State. I also plan on volunteering for the Red Cross and hopefully becoming a volunteer EMT in the future.
