State of Ohio Laws to Discourage Indoor Tanning Bed Use
Consent must be given by a parent or guardian in person in order for an individual under the age of 18 to be permitted to use a tanning bed in the state of Ohio. This consent is only valid for a specific number of tanning sessions as determined by the parent. The minor also must be provided with eye protection and is prohibited from using the tanning bed for longer than the manufacturer’s maximum exposure recommendation.
