Interested in joining a club?
Youth interested in joining 4-H must be at least 5 years old and in Kindergarten to participate in Cloverbud activities. Eligibility for participation in 4-H projects and competitive events begins when a child is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. Any youth age 9 or above is eligible for participation in 4-H projects regardless of grade level. A youth’s 4-H eligibility ends December 31 the year that they turn 19.
Not a resident of Paulding County but wish to participate in Paulding County 4-H?
No problem! We have a form for you to fill out requesting approval from both your resident county’s 4-H Educator and the Paulding County 4-H Educator.

Enrolling in 4-H Online
4-H Online opens for enrollment on November 1st to start the new 4-H year. Every youth participating in 4-H must be enrolled to exhibit at the Paulding County Fair. Enrollment deadline for 2023-2024 program year is January 5th, 2024.

Project Selection
Youth that are 8 years old and in the 3rd grade (or 9 years old regardless of grade) are eligible to select projects and exhibit at the Paulding County Fair. 4-H offers a large variety of projects to choose from! Use the 4-H Family Guide to learn about each and every one of them.
We have an office copy of each project book if you would like to stop by our office and check it out before making a decision.
Project Book Ordering
Project books are ordered directly from The Ohio State Extension Publications website. Free shipping is available when placing a book order of $40 or more and using the coupon code FREE2024 at checkout.
