About Me

Hello! First, thank you for taking some time to learn a little about me. 🙂

My name is Whitney, and I’m a fourth-year undergraduate from Springfield, Ohio. I currently double-major in History and French and minor in Linguistics. I love learning about identity and how various aspects of it can affect an individual as well as groups of people. I speak four languages at varying levels: English (native), French (intermediate), American Sign Language (beginner), and Korean (beginner). I’m currently a Resident Advisor, a Peer Mentor in ASC Honors, and a member of NRHH and Phi Alpha Theta. I’m also applying to graduate school and am planning to go into Higher Education Student Affairs. When I have spare time, I like to travel, read, and watch tennis.

At this point in my undergraduate career, my goals are to build a professional network and prepare for graduate school. This blog is intended to be an outline of my personal journey through college, highlighting first-year struggles, lessons learned throughout my time in college, and other reflections. I hope you enjoy reading my experiences as I’ve enjoyed writing about them. 🙂
