“Ms. Meurer is an exemplary colleague who works tirelessly on behalf of the Division of
Bioethics. Her energy, intelligence, and collegiately are, in many ways, the glue that holds
the Division together—it is impossible to overstate the importance of her role in the life and
functioning of the Division of Bioethics.”
“She consistently goes far above and beyond the call of duty and, with nearly
unbelievable regularity, has already laid the groundwork for division projects long before
the projects become a reality.”
“Not only is Ms. Meurer’s work in support of the Division impeccable, she further has an
uncanny knack for anticipating the needs of the Division. The relationships she has built,
both within OSU and with organizations outside of OSU, are consistently essential to the
Division’s ability to achieve its goals.”
“Ms. Meurer frequently serves as an administrative lead for projects because of her ability to
assess which systems are most appropriate to the project and best suited to the team
members. Her ability to do this comes from her efforts to stay up-to-date on available
resources and tools. In doing so, she has been able to effectively support an education
program with approximately 80 graduate students, 55 undergraduate minors, and 1000+
annual enrollments; the clinical bioethics fellowship; research teams; and the general
Center as one of a small administrative team.”

“Tara Weld has provided exceptional administrative support to the faculty, staff, students,
and alumni of the Moritz College of Law for the past 5 years. Her professionalism and
positivity is unmatched. She intersects with every function at the College and is the go-to
person who stands ready to assist others.”
“Tara always goes the extra mile to make people feel cherished. Even with her busy
schedule, she is always ready to lend a hand, share her institutional knowledge, send
kudos to a colleague, or offer an encouraging word to someone in need. She truly lifts
others up and makes people feel appreciated.”
“Tara is central to the functioning of the Moritz Community. In addition to her absolutely
essential work for the Dean, Acting Dean, and the Executive Team, she keeps the College
running on a daily basis. She is “the” person to whom people turn for answers to just about
everything. She works quietly, behind the scenes, and is the proverbial glue that connects
every faculty and staff person at the College. She organizes the faculty workshop series
making the experience exceptional for everyone who visits the College providing a friendly
face, tips on touring campus, and assistance with whatever they may need. She takes it
upon herself to make sure our adjunct faculty feel welcomed in our community by guiding
them through key tasks in their course preparation and troubleshooting any technical
issues they may have. She ensures everyone has what they need to continue moving
forward with their work.”
