Program
The Administrative Excellence Award shall be given annually by OSUAP. The award will recognize administrative excellence and encompass the following characteristics: leadership, innovation, resourcefulness, professionalism and interpersonal skills.
Nominees should exhibit the following criteria:
- Deliver exceptional administrative support and exude professionalism with team and outside entities
- Provide service to the university/medical center and/or the community, while exhibiting leadership
- Consistently find professional development opportunities and demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness
- Collaborate effectively with team members and looked for opportunities to be more innovative in their role and find ways to implement positive change
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with peers, students, faculty and staff across the university and medical center and contribute to a culture of optimism within the organization
- Consistently demonstrate effective project and time management, excellent communication skills and best practices for successfully keeping a team/department organized efficiently
Award
OSUAP will present two (2) awards annually to nominated individuals; one individual from the university and one individual from the medical center. The awards will consist of a $500 payroll award and a plaque of recognition to be presented at the OSUAP Professional Development Conference. All cash awards are processed according to University Reward and Recognition Policy 3.15.
Eligibility
Nominees must be an OSUAP member. Membership Information
Nominees must have at least one year of service with Ohio State by the due date for the nomination.
Nominees may not have received the award in the past.
Nominations
Nominations will be accepted Spring 2026.
Nominations will be collected via Qualtrics; however, a PDF of the nomination form is available for reference.
Nomination guidelines:
- Narrative specifying how this individual demonstrates Administrative Excellence, referencing the nominee criteria. Minimum word count: 500 (approximately 1 standard page)
- Optional documentation, such as letters of support, resume/CV, community activities, other awards received, etc.
