Hi! I’m Maddie Mittler, an undergraduate student at the Ohio State University. I am studying business, however, I have not chosen a specialization. Moving to Columbus was a massive yet exciting step to take for someone from a small town in northeast Ohio. However, I am proud to call Columbus my new home.

As you’ll read, the ocean is my passion. However before I recognized how I could incorporate my passion into my career, I dreamt of becoming an anesthesiologist. Because I imagined a future with 14 years of schooling and plenty of hard work, I chose the Biological Science Scholars Program in order to give me the opportunities to get ahead and strengthen my skills. But then a few days before classes started, I changed into a business major and was given the option to drop out of the Bio Sci program, yet here I am. I believe that I will still benefit from being a part of the scholars community. Without even completing a full semester, I have met many wonderful people through Bio Sci and will continue to grow through the experiences offered to the community.
