The Ohio State University is making a Big Push in Big Data – hiring 50-60 faculty across a wide range of domains.  This is part of the OSU Discovery Themes initiative to hire 500 faculty over the 10 years in the areas of health/wellness, energy/environment and food production/security.

The themes going forward for this wave of hires are: (1) climate and environment; (2) foundations; (3) health and well-being; and (4) systems and network science
