On April 19, 2023, the CDC and FDA changed their guidance on COVID-19 vaccines. To update us on the latest COVID-19 vaccine data and guidance, WE’ve invited two experts. Emily Vrontos is a Doctor of Pharmacy at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and serves as the Lead specialty practice pharmacist for the Department of Family and Community Medicine. We also have Dr Matthew Washam, an Assistant professor of Pediatrics at Ohio State who practices as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and is also the Chief of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention there.

On this webcast, we’re going to bring you up to date about developments in managing the infection and about keeping your patients and your community safe. First, Jim Allen will review the current epidemiology of COVID. Next, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine from the Division of Infectious Disease, Dr. Michael Haden will tell us about the latest on vaccines.
