Webcast Teaches on Acute and Chronic Diarrhea. The causes of acute diarrhea can vary from the benign to the life-threatening. There is a similar spectrum of seriousness to the causes of chronic diarrhea. It is the primary care physician who is most often on the front line with patients who develop diarrhea and today on OSU MedNet21, we are going to help you diagnose and manage the common causes. First, to discuss acute diarrhea is gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty. And then to discuss chronic diarrhea is gastroenterologist and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Dr. Madalina Butnariu.
