Dr Kavitha Norton is a Professor of Palliative Medicine and is the Director of Communication Education and Training for the Division of Palliative Medicine at Ohio State.

We have come a long way in the evolution of advance directives but it is still common for patients, physicians, and families to be faced with having to make a sudden decision about whether to institute life-saving measures. Particularly because sometimes those measures do less to prolong life than to prolong the process of death. Joining us today to help all of us become better at proactively discussing advance directives with our patients is palliative medicine specialist and Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, Dr. Kavitha Norton.
