CME Webcast Discusses Women in Medicine. Now over a third of practicing physicians in the United states are women. Just a few years ago in 2019, women surpassed men in US medical school enrollment for the very first time. In the latest 2021-2022 application cycle, 55% of applicants to US medical schools and 55.5% of matriculants were women. Today, we’ve invited two of Ohio State University’s Women in Medicine & Science leaders. We also have here Dr Maya Iyer who is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at OSU and Nationwide Children’s Hospital and serves as associate director of Women in Medicine and Science.
