Ears with Extended Leaf Husks

Symptoms:

Ears may appear to have up to 6 leaves at the end of the developing ear.

Causes:

Certain hybrid genetics exhibit more of these leaf-like husk extensions especially when favorable growing conditions, i.e. moderate temps and above average rainfall.

Management:

Leaf like husks should not affect yield.
