While the complete program is not finalized, we do continue to stay focused on providing 2 full days of agronomic and farm management sessions for commercial organic grain growers in the Eastern Corn Belt, including:

  • Presentations from OSU Extension researchers Osler Ortez (Corn & Emerging Crops), Eugene Law (Weed Ecology), Doug Jackson-Smith (Director of OSU’s organic program OFFER), David Marrison (Farm Management) and Eric Richer (Farm Management).
  • Exciting speakers from outside of Ohio including Erin Silva, University of Wisconsin-Madison; Damon DeSutter of DeSutter Farms in Attica, Indiana; Connor Sible, University of Illinois; and Sophie Rivest-Auger, Centre for Expertise and Transfer in Organic and Local Agriculture, Quebec.
  • Farmer panels on flame weeding, marketing, and organic farm management.
  • Roundtable lunch discussions, targeted trade show for organic grain growers (30 vendors to date), and additional networking events and opportunities.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) credits will be available.

We encourage you to register by the early bird date so that you can get the reduced registration rate (select “General Registration”) and secure a room at Kalahari for the block rate of $139.99 (before tax)/night. We have built the room reservation link right into the online registration page (be prepared to hold a room when you register) but if you would prefer to call for rooms, you may do so by calling 419-433-7200 and using the “2025 OSU Organic Grains Conference” room block.

We look forward to your attendance at this year’s conference. The planning committee (CC’ed above) has worked hard to put together a great program! Stay tuned for more information.

Best of luck for a safe harvest!
