In her role as Associate Director of Destination Global Health Care, Milly Valverde and her team are responsible for advancing The Ohio State University Health System’s International Patient Services.
As Associate Director, she works to increase access and opportunities for international patients located abroad as well as domestic patients traveling from other states. Her team coordinates with administrative teams to develop streamlined business processes focused on seamlessly integrating our organization.
She has over 25 years of progressively responsible experience in hospital administration and operations, language access, and diversity and inclusion, including sixteen years at The Ohio State University Health System where she started and lead interpreter services since the inception of the program. She was named Language Access Champion in 2013 by the National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare.
