Reflectance Sensors

The above picture is our groups reflectance sensors attached to the AEV. The purpose of the sensors is to detect the distance the wheels have moved over a course of time. They track how far they go, and execute the commands in the code provided to give us an accurate experiment. The sensors track how far the wheels go in the units of marks. A mark is equivalent to 1/8 of an inch, so we have to write the codes according to that ratio. The reflectance sensors are important to the MCR because they track how far the vehicle goes, and more importantly they track how far it goes while coasting. We can utilize this to conserve as much power as possible.
