Propeller Configuration

The propeller configuration shown above was tested twice. The first test had the motors pushing the AEV, the second test had them pulling the AEV. It was found that the AEV used approximately 2 fewer J to travel four feet when pulling as opposed to when pushing.

It was concluded that the motors had less air blockage when pulling, meaning less power was required. The optimal propeller configuration would be for it to be pulling the AEV instead of pushing. If this is done in addition to using only one motor while travelling to pick up the payload, the AEV will be quite energy efficient.
