Our Interest in Chlamydia

Our interest in Chlamydia was sparked by a recent rise in the prevalence of the disease. Chlamydia is easily treatable but often requires screening because many patients are asymptomatic (McCance & Huether, 2019). We believe that greater knowledge about the disease can encourage patients and providers to advocate for routine screenings, leading to early treatment and prevention of spread.
