I am a first year graduate student at University of Yamanashi in Japan. I am currently working in Prof. Kawakami’s group at OSU as a visiting scholar from September 28th 2016 to March 28th 2017.
I have been working with four-probes scanning tunneling microscope (STM) in my laboratory (Shiraki’s lab) in Japan for a year. I tried to put carbon nanotubes at the end of the STM tips to improve the tip performance. I also studied electrochromism properties of organic material Prussian Blue Analogues through charge transport measurement. I am interested in studying spintronics and surface science using SPM. Aftrer I came to Prof. Kawakami’s group, I have developed a strong interest in graphene spintronics. I would like to utilize four-probes STM to perform spin transport study in graphene. This will be the topic of the thesis for my master degree.
Outside of the science, I enjoy playing soccer, cooking Japanese food and watching all sports especially soccer and basketball.
