Roland A. Bennett

I am a senior undergraduate student majoring in Physics.  I have been working with the Kawakami group in November 2017 and began full time in the summer.  I am interested in magnetic skyrmions.  My research consists of using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) to grow materials that contain magnetic skyrmions.  Right now, I am focusing on B20 crystals.  Working in the lab has helped me further my understanding of condensed matter physics, as well as how to conduct experimental science.

Outside of the lab and school, I enjoy rock climbing, backpacking, mountaineering, and reading books.
