Welcome to the website for Ohio State’s Intensive Portuguese Abroad for Spanish Teachers, a new program in Portuguese language and linguistics that will take place in Curitiba, Brazil. Take a look around, and feel free to contact us for more information!
The program will include remote Portuguese language learning from April 21-June 13, 2025, followed by an exchange experience in Curitiba, Brazil from June 23-July 11, 2025. It will take place at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR).
During their stay in Brazil, participants will take part-time Portuguese language classes at CELIN (the university language center) and will be invited to join a free, optional language teacher education course offered by the university project Teachers across Borders, also responsible for extra cultural activities and homestay responsibilities.
