 IA Craft Night (1 point)

Come join us for a fun and casual night of making crafts and enjoying snacks with you fellow IAs! All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
A Closer Look at Homelessness in Columbus (2 points)
Thursday, February 16, 7:00pm, Taylor Tower Lobby
This program will be a collaboration between the OSU student organization, Crosswalk Outreach to the Homeless and Dr. Stephanie Moulton, of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. One of Crosswalk Outreach’s goals is to combat the stigmatization of people who are homeless by educating others and inviting them to learn with the club. This program will educate attendees about the bigger picture of poverty and homelessness, as well as introduce students to opportunities involving Crosswalk Outreach.
Global Health vs Global Economy: How China Impacts the World (2 points)
Thursday, February 16, 3:00-4:00pm, Gerlach Hall 365
Dr. Yanzhong Huang, Senior Fellow for Global Health at the Council on Foreign Relations, and Dr. Desmond Thio, CEO of DeltaHealth China, will discuss the intersections between health, climate change, and economic interests, with a particular focus from the Chinese context.
Taste of OSU (1 point)
Friday, February 17, 5:00-9:00pm, Ohio Union
Taste of OSU is an Ohio State signature event that brings together more than 50 student organizations that provide a night of international food, cultural performances, and exhibits to a crowd of about 4,000 attendees. All are invited to attend and entry to the event is free. Attendees can purchase (cash and BuckID only) $1 tickets to samples the array of international dishes prepared by the student organizations along with Student Life’s Dining Services chefs.
What Does The Refugee and Immigration Experience Really Look Like? (2 points)
Monday, February 20, 5:30-6:30pm, Hagerty Hall 062
Staff from the Columbus Refugee and Immigration Services (CRIS) will join IA to talk about what the process looks like for immigrants and refugees, discuss what unique challenges facing those new to the US, and talk about the settlement process and what services organizations like CRIS provide. With immigration policy front and center right now, this informal program seeks to shed light on the experience and answer any questions you may have. Dinner will be provided.
Islamophobia: Causes and Consequences, and How to Counter It in Daily Life (2 points)
Monday, February 20, 7:30pm, Knowlton 250
Author Nathan Lean discusses prejudice towards and discrimination of Muslims, causes, consequences, and highlights some of the underlying dynamics that have animated these feelings in recent history. Lean offers key insights on how students, scholars, and members of community at large can counter instances of prejudice and help realize a world that values pluralism and diversity.
Foreign Language Careers Meet and Greet
Tuesday, February 21, 4:00-6:00pm, Ohio Union Suzanne M Scharer Room
Looking for career opportunities where you can use your foreign language skills, along with any other majors and minors that you may have? Please join us at this special meet and greet to connect with recruiters that are looking for qualified foreign language students, and begin your exciting global career! Students and alumni are welcome. Please dress in business casual, bring your resume, and be ready to network! No registration is required.

Scholars Bowling Night (1 point)

Wednesday, February 22, 9:00-11:45pm, Sequoia Pro Bowl

Along with PSL, Art, Humanities, STEM and Biological Sciences Scholars, we will be heading out for a night of bowling! Cost is $5 per person and space is limited. If you are interested in attending, please sign up here. Cost includes transportation, unlimited bowling for two hours, and shoes. Bus will be departing at 9:00pm and should return by 11:45pm. Space is very limited so please sign up ASAP to reserve your spot

Night at the Museum: Ohio History Center (2 points)
Saturday, February 25, 7:00-10:00pm
Here’s your chance to experience the Ohio History Center museum after hours and see whether or not our exhibits really do come to life!  Tickets will be $5.  We will meet in Smith-Steeb at 7pm to take a charter bus up to the Ohio History Center.  If you have any questions, please contact Doug (urbancsik.1@osu.edu).
