IBM’s Almaden Research Center (San Jose, CA) invites applications for an internship position to conduct research in modeling viral epidemiology and possibly the impact of global climate change on vulnerable population. Applicants should have strong statistical analysis background, hands on experience working with spatio-temporal and other forms of data, and a practical knowledge of Java programming, python or R. Knowledge of mathematical modeling of infectious disease is a plus. We would prefer a Ph.D. student with good communication and writing skills.
