This website focuses on examining the impact of F.W. Taylor’s industrial management system on Yevgeny Zamyatin’s We. Firstly, Taylor’s background and the principles of his system is identified. After the basics of Taylorism are understood, its place within Zamyatin’s life experiences must be probed. This second part includes its utilization within Zamyatin’s homeland, Russia. Here, Lenin’s views of Taylorism and its place within Soviet industries are investigated to better grasp the environment surrounding Zamyatin while he was writing. Finally, these individual strands of research are woven together to examine Taylor’s place in We and better comprehend the significance of his appearance in the work.
