Monicah Karera was competitively selected to present her thesis at the 2022 Midwest Nursing Research Society Annual Conference (“History of spontaneous miscarriage and pregnancy-specific distress during subsequent pregnancy among Black American women“). Mitali Dalwalla receives the Undergraduate Research Scholarship! Mitali Dalwalla was selected to receive the Undergraduate Research Scholarship from the College of Public Health at The Ohio State University for her work with the MIML and her thesis, entitled “Perinatal depressive symptoms, birth timing, and infant birthweight among Black Americans with versus without a history of miscarriage.” Mitali has worked with the MIML for three years, including as a paid research assistant. She is due to graduate with her Bachelor of Science in Public Health in the Spring of 2022, with honors research distinction. Mitali will be beginning medical school next year! Congratulations, Mitali!!!
