Jaee Sonalkar is a doctoral student in FSMLE (Foreign, Second and Multilingual Language Education), with a background in both Applied Linguistics and Psychology. She earned one MA in Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from the University of Barcelona, and another MA in Applied Psychology from the University of Mumbai. Jaee has over a decade of experience teaching foreign and second languages, teaching English and Spanish in India, Spain, and Ecuador. She is interested in developing effective and innovative pedagogical tools for technology-enhanced, task-based language teaching, aimed at empowering language educators with engaging, impactful teaching methods.
Zeynep Arslan is a second-year doctoral student in Foreign, Second and Multilingual Language Education and a graduate research associate at the Crane Center at The Ohio State University. She holds a Master’s in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from Bilkent University and a Bachelor’s in English Language Teaching from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey. She is also a holder of the Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA) from Cambridge University. Before starting her doctoral program, Zeynep taught academic English at the college level in Turkey for six years. In the United States, she taught ESL classes at Columbus State Community College and Capital University for over a year. Her research interests include language teacher education, generative artificial intelligence, sociolinguistics, and multilingual language education. In addition to her academic work, Zeynep has been an active member of the graduate community at OSU. She has served as a delegate in the Council of Graduate Students for two years and is currently a member of the Housing and Family Affairs Committee. Zeynep is also a member of the Graduate Student Advisory Council and serves as the Vice President of the Graduate Student Working Group for Foreign Language Research and Teaching (FLRT), where she helps foster collaboration and professional development for graduate students in language research and teaching.
Lutfi Ashar Mauludin is an Assistant Professor at Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, and a doctoral student at The Ohio State University, specializing in Foreign, Second, and Multilingual Language Education. His work focuses on English language teaching, particularly in English for Specific Purposes. His research explores genre-based approaches and systemic functional linguistics, aiming to enrich students’ learning experiences and advance the field of language education, especially within vocational education contexts. Research Interests: Genre-based Approach; Cohesion Analysis; Systemic Functional Linguistics; Teaching and Learning Motivation; Dynamic Assessment in EFL Classrooms; Teaching Methods to Improve EFL Reading and Writing Skills.
Piangpitcha Inthiti (Pitcha) is a doctoral student in Foreign, Second, and Multilingual Language Education (FSMLE), sponsored by Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. Originally from Thailand, Pitcha brings over a decade of experience as an English teacher to her studies. She earned her Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics for TESOL from Northumbria University, UK. Her research centres on Language Teacher Education (LTE), emphasizing the knowledge, pedagogy, identity, agency, and well-being of language pre-service and in-service teachers, as well as their ongoing professional development and cultural responsiveness in diverse classroom settings.
