12 March 2020
On March 9, OSU announced that all classes are moving online after Spring Break (starting March 16) and that campus events are to be cancelled until April 20. The outcome is that (F)ASAL 10 cannot be held as has been scheduled.
Given the rapidly developing situation with the novel coronavirus and little time to prepare for an alternative, we have decided that to establish a web-based platform for upload and dissemination of the papers and posters with opportunity for providing feedback to the authors. Talks and posters will be made available here as they are ready. We are going forward with hosting virtual (F)ASAL as scheduled. Everyone is welcome to join. See instructions here.
We at OSU are very disappointed indeed to not be hosting an event that the South Asian Linguistics community looks forward to every year, and we are sure that this is both disruptive and disappointing for you all. But as these last few weeks have shown us, it is important that we keep everyone’s health and safety as our highest priority,
Take care,
(F)ASAL 10 organizing committee
