Team Meeting Notes (1-6)

*Team meeting notes occurred during meetings before lab was performed therefore no lab 1 notes were recorded

Lab 2:

Met Sunday night at 8:00PM. We discussed what to include in the progress report. Everybody on the team helped contribute towards it. We also discussed preparation for this weeks classes and we finished our class application due on Tues. Finally, a future meeting time was talked about for this weekend, but no time or location had been set yet.

Lab 3:

The group met Sunday at 8:00pm in the Thompson Library.  The group discussed the previous lab report and Kyle brought up points to improve on and what was needed in the newest lab report.  Steve brought forth ideas to improve on the AEV handling and speed, specifically bringing the initial speed of the AEV down and increasing the reversed speed to get it to stop at a more precise point.  The group agreed with his ideas so the AEV would yield more accurate results. The group also agreed to the next weeks meeting time at 8:00pm Sunday at Thompson.

Lab 4:

The group met Tuesday at 7:00pm in the Thompson Library.  The group discussed the previous lab report and Kyle brought up points to improve on and what was needed in the newest lab report.  Steve brought forth ideas to improve the AEV design. Steve’s design was decided to be the best design based off its slim core and aerodynamic front.  The group discussed on how we would retrieve the parts needed to build the AEV. The group also agreed to the next weeks meeting time at 7:00pm Sunday at Thompson.

Lab 5:

The group met at 8:00 pm Monday at the Thompson Library.  The group decided what each individual would complete in the progress report.  The previous lab was discussed. The inaccuracy of the sensor was brought up by Kyle and the rest of the group debated on the best way of fixing the problem. The group decided to unscrew the wheels to make sure that the sensors were positioned correctly.  John also brought up ideas on a cheap, light, nose for the AEV to increase aerodynamics.  The top of a plastic soda bottle was brought up.

Lab 6:

This week the group met at 18th Ave Library at 8:00 on Monday the 20th.  The group discussed the current design and what they could do to improve upon it.  John brought up the idea to continue to increase the aerodynamics and Kyle pushed for a more stable, balanced design.  Steve brought up new ideas to create a better code to test the AEV for the group to really feel comfortable with the design.  The group then agreed to meet the following Monday at 8:00 Pm at Thompson Library to work on the next progress report and review this week’s lab.
