The lab this week consisted of testing two different codes for the AEV. To do this, two different codes using different parameters will be tested. The first code will use time, whereas the second code will use distance from the sensors. This is done because one parameters has certain advantages over the other. For time, it does not rely on the reflectance sensors at all. If there are any faults within the sensors, the code is ruined. Compared to time, distance from the sensors has an advantage if all the sensors are working properly and does not rely on the outside conditions to affect it like drafts in the room, speed variations, etc.. Using the two codes tested, a conclusion on which parameter is more effective will be made.
