About Me

Hello! My name is Lauren Dahler (she/her) and I am a second-year Eminence Fellow at The Ohio State University. I am pursuing a double major in Public Affairs and World Politics as well as a minor in French. I am currently taking a part-time semester of online classes in my hometown due to COVID-19. My goal this semester is to stay engaged with my academics and the OSU community while staying home to stop the spread.

I am currently the Vice-President of IGNITE: Women in Politics, an organization that promotes and engages womxn who have a desire to work in the political and social justice spaces. I am also the Co-Founder, Vice President, and Outreach Director of Cultivate Columbus, an organization dedicated to ending food insecurity through community-led gardening initiatives in Columbus.

I have spent most of my life in Madison, WI where I was heavily involved in advocacy and Wisconsin’s political scene. Throughout my last two years of high school, I interned on the gubernatorial campaign for Tony Evers, Wisconsin’s current Governor and in his administration.

I have a passion for equitable policy and social change and hope to explore this from an international perspective during my time at OSU. In the future, I would like to relocate to Washington D.C. and hopefully pursue a career at the Department of State or an NGO that focuses on equitable international diplomacy.
