Roles and Responsibilities – Recruitment

The HR Professional will:

  • help the supervisor update the position description and decide what needs to be advertised in order to attract the right candidates
  • determine the posting salary range based on Career Roadmap
  • determine the offer amount and parameters and determine the status of the candidate (promotion, lateral, etc.)
  • coordinate with the hiring manager the onboarding process.

The Talent Consultant will:

  • post the open positions
  • move candidates through Workday
  • provide reference checks and initial phone screening, when possible and appropriate
  • process
  • monitor the candidate pool
  • open and close positions in Workday as recruitment progresses
  • enter offers into Workday and initiate background checks upon candidate offer signature

The Manager will:

  • review and ensure the position description is fully up to date
  • work with the HR Professional to ensure an accurate posting
  • review applicants thoroughly
  • develop reasonable expectations for the ideal candidate
  • prepare thoughtful and compliant questions
  • review materials below on effective searches
  • work in tandem with the HR Professional during interviews, offers, and onboarding
  • develop a comprehensive onboarding and training process for new hires
  • evaluate new hires performance timely after the start date
  • review and complete the manager’s checklist for new hires
