We’ve been in Nicaragua for almost a week. I have to admit I have experienced a bit of culture shock. I knew very little about Nicaragua prior to my arrival. I read stuff on google and tried to find the best restaurants and tours on trip advisor. I realize now that my tools I use in my travel can’t be generalized to other parts of the world, especially in countries where the priorities are so different.
I am spoiled in my world and even spoiled, as compared to the Nicaraguan people. I get frustrated when I can’t get my email or the latest update for my Facebook friends.
When my air conditioning isn’t very cold or when I turn it off when I leave my room and have to “suffer” for the 15 minutes while the room cools

I hope that this experience continues to challenge me and help me realize what is important in life.
