New training requirement for State employees
All current Ohio State employees — including all university and medical center faculty, staff (regular, term, temporary, and intermittent), graduate associates and student employees — must complete the Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training in BuckeyeLearn. Information about the assignment, training, reporting, and most importantly, where to go for questions and support is below.
Support:
- For technical support, questions about the assignment, the requirement, or content, users may contact financialtraining@osu.edu or visit the Financial Training website.
- We’ve updated our Common Training Courses resource in the Administrative Resource Center to include Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse.
Assignment details:
- The training will be auto assigned to current employees’ BuckeyeLearn transcripts on September 30, 2024. The training is due on October 29, 2024.
- New employees will be automatically assigned the training within 1-2 business days of their start date and will be due within 30 days of the transcript assignment date. New employees will receive an automated email when the training has been assigned in BuckeyeLearn. The training assignment will run each day at 11 a.m.
- The assignment group for this requirement is predetermined. This means that managers and unit leaders do not need to take on training assignment responsibilities – this training is centrally assigned.
- Employees who complete the training, leave the university, and return will not need to retake the training.
Communication details:
- Current employees will receive several automated BuckeyeLearn reminders and emails from university leadership before the due date. Employees who do not complete the training by the due date will continue to receive automated notifications through December 2024.
- New employees will receive an automated email when the training has been assigned to their BuckeyeLearn transcript.
Training details:
- The training is an Online Course that takes approximately 8 minutes to complete.
- To complete the training, you must complete an Acknowledgement after watching the video. If the training window is closed before completing the Acknowledgement, the training will remain in an In Progress state on your transcript.
- As Accessible version of the training can be found in BuckeyeLearn by searching “Accessible Version of Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse” in the search bar.
Reporting:
- University and OSUMC managers have been shared a report titled “Manager Reporting: Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training” available through Reporting 2.0 in BuckeyeLearn.
- University managers can view their team’s training completion information on their Reporting dashboard.
- All OU admins and BuckeyeLearn Liaisons have been shared a report titled “2024 Reporting Fraud, Waste, and Abuse – BuckeyeLearn Compliance Training”.
