Introducing New Signature Badges for Organizational Unit Administrators and Liaisons!

We’re excited to announce the availability of signature badges for our dedicated Organizational Unit (OU) Admins and Liaisons! These badges are designed to not only add a touch of professionalism to communications but also to highlight their important role within the organization, reminding users that they are a BuckeyeLearn resource within their area.

We are excited to see these in the email signatures of all of our administrators across the university and medical center.

What Do The Badges Mean?

The Organizational Unit and BuckeyeLearn Liaisons are responsible for the day-to-day oversight and implementation of their area’s work in BuckeyeLearn.

  • Guide BuckeyeLearn implementation for their area
  • Administer BuckeyeLearn for their area after implementation
  • Manage their area’s training
  • Work with learners

OU admins and BuckeyeLearn Liaison are the sole line of communication from their area to the BuckeyeLearn Support team and are responsible for the administration of BuckeyeLearn for their area. This includes

  • Following the BuckeyeLearn processes, procedures, and standards
  • Developing and implementing their area’s internal BuckeyeLearn processes and procedures
  • Requesting administrative roles for users in their area
  • Training, directing, and monitoring the administrative users in their area
  • Keeping informed of system information and updates

What’s the difference between an OU admin and a BuckeyeLearn Liaison? OU admins oversee an area that is offering content to the OSU population. This work requires elevated security permissions and a deep understanding of BuckeyeLearn functionality. They can assign training to their area, build and share reports, and perform other tasks that are considered “high risk” (in other words, they have access to functionality that impacts users transcripts). BuckeyeLearn Liaisons are responsible over areas that do not offer content in BuckeyeLearn, but may need to perform tasks such as assign one off training titles, grant access to reports, assist learners within their area, and communicate about BuckeyeLearn to their areas leadership.
