G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: I hope to participate in various activities and join a club that will give me more exposure to the community around campus. By participating in scholarly events I was able to meet several students and make many friends that happened to be in the same classes as me as well in the same scholars program.
Original Inquiry: Research is very important to have on your resume. As I am pre-med student, research is a very key component to be accepted into medical school. By being a part of the Biological sciences scholars program, there are plenty of research opportunities available. I have applied to various research and internships throughout campus, however, I need more experience and higher level course to be chosen to do the respective research.
Academic Enrichment: Taking challenging courses is key to developing yourself mentally. One of my most challenging classes is Chemistry. By taking higher level courses in the Chemistry department, I will be able to excel in various other classes by implementing the study habits used for Chemistry.
Leadership Development: By participating in the classroom and answering questions, I am able to learn more and even help others around me. Leadership is a very important skill, not only while having study session with classmates, but also during group discussions or in career environment.
Service Engagement: Volunteering around campus is a great way to expose yourself to the community and the people around you. By volunteering in FLOW (tree planting), I was able to meet several people that I am still in touch with.
