In this presentation, my group and I researched multiple facets of wind turbines ranging from their history to the pros and cons of them to how they work to how efficient they can be at generating power and even researched the possibilities that lie in the future for wind turbines. This project gave myself a much greater familiarity with the technology of wind turbines and have gave me some appreciation for how efficient they already are and how much more they may become in the future. Ultimately, the largest gain from this project was seeing how other people researched wind turbines in contrast with my group which insanely gave me more appreciation in how much there is to learn about what seems to be a fairly simple piece of technology.

Sophomore Year Accomplishment:

During the past year I gained employment in The Mathematics and Statistics Learning Center as a paid tutor. I earned this job early in the year and being a tutor has definitely changed the way I work and live on campus through making connections with students  I helped as well as the other tutors I worked with over the year.
