Older Youth In Training 2024

OYIT is a program for 4-H members 13 years old as of January 1, 2024. It is a year to learn more about all the older youth programs that become available to youth at 14+ years old in 4-H years. In addition, you help plan Cloverbud Day Camp and the program is REQUIRED to be a CIT (Counselor in Training) in 2025. 4-H members that are interested need to complete the interest form by November 20th by 4:30 PM.

Cloverbud Day Camp 2023

Encourage your Cloverbud members to join the Older Youth in-Training and Junior Leader members for Cloverbud Day Camp on July 27th at Camp Hervida in Washington County from 9 am to 3 pm.  The camp theme is “All About 4-H”.  The camp fee is $30.00.

Cloverbud Day Camp packets are available to be picked up at the extension office for those who are interested. Registration is limited to the first 30 kids!

 

Payment options:  Cash or check to the extension office. The fee for the day and all completed health forms are due July 18th!

STEM Camp

Camp opportunity coming up at canters cave! It is open for any youth! Does not have to be in 4-H.

STEM Camp is going to be SO MUCH FUN this year and is so much more than just technology. We are planning sessions around tie dyeing and color science, 4-H Yoga and anatomy/stress, pollinators and forestry science, food science and liquid nitrogen, recycling, and SO MUCH MORE!

Volunteers for Project Judging 2023

In need of judges for project judging in 2023!

This year’s Project Judging will be on July 18 around 9-5pm at the fairgrounds. This is where still projects will be judged including Ag/Natural Resources, Food/Nutrition and misc. projects.

Join The Lighthouser’s 4-H Club for Project Workdays

Does a 4-H Member need help understanding the requirements of a 4-H Project, understanding the required activities in their project book, or time to just work on their project? If you answered yes to any of these questions join the Lighthouser’s 4-H Club volunteers and members for project workdays.

Where: Riecker Building Room 325

When: May 23rd  4:30-5:30 PM, June 2nd 4-5:15 PM, June 9th 3-4:30 PM, and June 13th 5-6:30 PM

Bring: Your project book, project guidelines and questions.

Junior Fair Board Fundraiser Alert!

Morgan County Junior Fair Board is having a fundraiser with Little Caesars pizza! This fundraiser is fully digital!

You purchase using a link given to you by a Junior Fair Board member and it is shipped directly to your home!

They are raising funds to be able to go on a trip to Leed’s Farm in Ostrander Ohio in September after the fair!

Please find a Junior Fair Board member to purchase some stuff from Little Caesars. They have box pizza and other items for sale. Prices vary depending on the item.
