4-H World Changers SPIN Club

In 4-H, we believe in the power of young people.  Through self-chosen projects, kids are paired with mentors and given opportunities to lead.  These projects and experiences bring out their potential, their passions, and their drive to help others as we empower them to become true leaders.  So what better way to help close the gender gap in science, technology, engineering and mathematics than to join the movement to change the image of what a programmer or scientist looks like and does.

Designed for middle & high school girls. BUT…we will welcome EVERYONE who has an interest in STEM, coding and making a positive impact in their community!

You do not have to be a 4-H member to participate.

Grow by FarmHer

The Ohio State University’s College of Food, Ag, and Environmental Sciences is co-sponsoring (with Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau) the upcoming Grow by FarmHer event on Friday, February 23, at the Nationwide & Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center. The target demographic is girls ages 16-22 but all are welcome to provide opportunities for networking.

FarmHer was founded in 2013 to change the image of agriculture by including women in that image through photographs and stories. Today, FarmHer has grown into much more than images that are changing the way people perceive a farmer, including a national TV show, targeted events and an online community, all designed just for women in agriculture.

Grow by FarmHer is a series of events to inspire, educate and empower young women in agriculture to take an active role in leading the industry. Through Grow by FarmHer, these young women will experience empowering and educational speakers, be introduced to skills needed to be successful leaders and receive the encouragement and inspiration they need to grow as young women in the agriculture industry. This unique event is an investment in the future of agriculture, as these young women will become tomorrow’s producers, business owners, and industry leaders.
