Kokosing Valley Jr. Anglers

The Kokosing Valley Jr. Anglers is seeking interested  students to join their Knox County youth fishing club. Membership is currently being taken for youth ages 11-18 before August 31, 2019. The club is affiliated with the Ohio Bass Federation and Fishing League Worldwide. Members compete in local and state tournaments next spring. If you like to fish, this club is for YOU!  The club is involved with many activities including 4-H throughout the year. If interested in more information, email kokosingvalleyjranglers@hotmail.com for a registration form. An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the CA&C Depot, 501 S. Main Street Mount Vernon. You many also call 740-485-1411 to register. Seating is limited, register to attend.

The State 4-H Office wanted to pass along a club fundraising idea for clubs that might be looking for a new opportunity.

Community Service Opportunity

Lisa Pfouts is looking for help to assist her during the Quilt Market Day that will be held Saturday, April 14 at the Fredericktown Elementary School.  Here are a list of services that she is requesting help with:

  • Friday, April 13, beginning at 4 pm (2-3 hours) – set up – this group would need to be someone than can lift and set up tables and chairs and can use as many as want to join in
  • Saturday, April 14th, 8 – 10 am – Carrying sewing items and boxes for vendors from cars into the school
  • Saturday, April 14th, 10 – 3 pm (10-12:30 & 12:30 – 3,  2 shifts – 2 per shift)- working in the kitchen, serving food
  • Saturday, April 14th, 3 pm – Carrying items from the school to the car for vendors
  • Saturday, April 14th, 3 pm (2-3 hours) tear down –  this group would need to be someone than can lift and tear down tables and chairs and we can us as many as want to join in.
