Meeting #13
Date: Tuesday, April 3
Time: 12:40PM – 1:35PM
Members Present: All
Objective:
- Energy Optimization
To-do:
- Work on the secondary code, and finalizing primary code for the final performance test.
Decisions:
- After working on the secondary code for a while, the team decided to scrap the code and use the primary code
Reflections and future work:
- After choosing the primary code as the division’s final performance test, the team will finish up the last section and tune it for energy optimization.
Meeting #14
Date: April 6
Time: 12:45PM – 2:05PM
Members Present: All
Objective:
- Progress Report, AEV tuning
To-do:
- Tune the primary code for the AEV
Decisions:
- Using a single battery per experimental day, the variations between the tests will minimize.
Reflections and future work:
Prepare for the final performance test next week.
Meeting #15
Date: April 10
Time: 12:45PM – 2:05PM
Members Present: All
Objective:
- Finalize AEV to prepare for the performance test
To-do:
- Get the AEV to consistently past the gate on the way back and stop without recoil in the entire round trip.
Decisions:
- The team measured the battery voltage to be 8.41V and tuned the AEV with the code editions, and the final voltage was 8.29V.
Reflections and future work:
- The team thinks they have settled with the code and will attempt to perform the AEV Final Performance Test at the next meeting.
Meeting #16
Date: April 11
Time: 12:45PM – 2:05PM
Members Present: All
Objective:
- Attempt to perform the final performance test.
To-do:
- Fine tune the AEV in order to prepare for the final test, and conduct the test by the end of the experimentation period.
Decisions:
- The team will conduct several tests then perform the final performance test. Decisions made are to be determined.
Reflections and future work:
- The final performance test is on Lab 12c April 13, reflections are to be determined by the end of the experimentation period.
Meeting #17
Date: April 13
Time: 12:45PM – 2:05PM
Members Present: All
Objective:
- Finish up performance tests.
To-do:
- Last day to do performance test, three tries total
Decisions:
- Final performance testing will be conducted.
Reflections and future work:
- The final performance test run 1 was the team’s accepted successful run.
- The round trip time of the AEV was 57 seconds, using 163 Joules, with a total cost of $543,636.
