The division successfully completed the final performance test for the round trip.
This AEV prototype is the best performing concept the division has created. Some of the advantages:
- Very Lightweight, great for ease of transportation with added cargo weight
- 3D Printed parts greatly reduce unnecessary weight from the overall system compared to the other three concepts that were evaluated.
- Smooth ride with the dual propellers in symmetry above the safety shell
- Using ideal power usage in code / maximizing energy efficiency in each acceleration.
- Easy access to the mechanics with movable hinged shells, great for unexpected maintenance days
- Saves energy and time due to its sleek aerodynamic design, weight, and motor usage (ideal power usage)
- Saving time by taking the entire route only about 57 seconds
- Energy efficient with only 163 Joules used to complete the tasks
- The final cost of the AEV totaling up to 543,636 dollars, cheap due to the affordable shell.
The AEV will easily, provide the people of Linden quick access to safe, reliable, and low-cost alternatives to transportation, as well as minimize the risks of road accidents (especially at night or uncomfortable weather conditions) for other vehicles of transport.
