Beauty in the media is definitely subjective and the photos on the bottom show that it varies culture by culture. Over time the body desired in media changes as well. It becomes hard when so many women don’t look like this because they will compare themselves to this standard rather than accepting their body type because most women will most likely never look like the bodies portrayed in the media.
It is best to listen to your body and do what is best for you. The media is mostly fake and unfortunately give us unrealistic body standards
I think that body image is mostly focused on the time frame rather than the culture.
I think this one touches more on body image and the standard of beauty than tanning, but still a good message.
Everyone is beautiful and everyone should think they are beautiful without having to alter hair/skin/eye color etc!
The body expectations of society often impact one’s own expection but it’s important to prevent this
I completely agree with this! Celebrities never show what they went through and it is important for the viewers to be aware that this isn’t natural or a healthy achievable goal. They should be happy with their own skin and take care of it.
