This map depicts the transportation of raw materials from the feedlots in Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska to the manufacturing company in Ada, Ohio.  The leather from 35,000 cows is transported annually from these farms and brought to Ohio to be shaped into footballs (Iowastatefair.org).  From here the footballs are shipped out based on orders by the NFL and sporting chains needs, including shipments to individuals who can order footballs directly from the factory in Ada, Ohio.  This map shows that the Wilson football is an American Made product from start to finish.

This map depicts the NFL teams locations.  This is where the Wilson football factory outsources to.  They must deliver the footballs weekly to these locations.  While Ada, Ohio is centrally located for the majority of the teams (high midwest/east density) the teams on the west coast are a long ways away.  In the future it could be seen as a good move to have another factory out west to cut out the lengthy transportation process.
