About Me

ePortfolio Image

Salutations, fellow students! My name is Jillian White, and I hail from the small town of Germantown, OH. I attended Valley View High School, a humble facility that rests in the middle of a field of golden corn, but I spent the last two years of my educational career at Miami University of Middletown, earning college credits along with my high school credits with the PSEO program. You could say that the major I wish to pursue here at The Ohio State University stemmed from my time at MUM.

In summary, it started with an interdisciplinary course that centered around the social sciences, which sparked my interest in that area. I became fascinated by different cultures and lifestyles; however, I found myself rather infatuated with one particular aspect of society: gender and sexuality. My high school circle of friends introduced me to the different sorts of gender identities and sexual preferences, and after browsing Tumblr for extensive periods of time, they became a primary focus of my amateur research (also known as my Google searches). But since I’m intrigued by the motions of today’s societies in general, I’ve settled on pursuing a degree in Sociology. Perhaps I’ll see about double majoring to complement it.

To conclude this introduction: My hobbies include drawing on my tablet, writing, browsing sites like Tumblr, watching YouTube videos, and watching anime. I also fancy a game of Dungeons & Dragons, although I am a novice. As a piece of trivia, I’m an adopted child from China, born on September 2, 1996.

Let’s get along, shall we?
