2016-2017 Year in Review

Coming into my first year of college was certainly an exhilarating experience.  Being born and raised in New Jersey, I had never experienced living in another state and that all in itself was a completely new and exciting adventure.  Being able to come to college and be a part of a community like the International Affairs Scholars certainly helped me to adjust to life in Ohio.  The events that IA held also helped me to experience the city of Columbus.   From walking around German Village to going to orchestras, IA has given me the opportunity to have a lot of fun and experience just a taste of what Columbus has to offer.  In addition, IA let me go on a weekend trip to Toronto, which I discusses in one of my Artifacts, it is also one of the best experiences I have had in college thus far.  In addition, I have also had the oppertunity to get involved while on campus, from joining NRHH to Survivor: Time and Change, I have been able to get involved while also balancing my school work.  This first year of college was a way to test the waters and experience as much as possible so that I can begin to formulate a plan for my upcoming years while at OSU.  I have learned responsibility, adaptability, and creativity during my first year here and I cannot wait to see what the upcoming years have in store.  One thing is for sure, I will not stop growing and experiencing as much as I can.  I have learned that time flies in college and with only three year left, I will be sure to experience everything I possibly can within that time.
