In addition to analyzing the two personal narratives, one can also evince a deeper and more thorough understanding of the different perspectives on the Vietnam War through an analysis of the censored perspectives relayed to the public. This censorship is due to the actions of the United States government. By recognizing that the public’s perspective of the Vietnam War has been distorted due to censorship, one can develop a more thorough understanding of the war.
